The Compliance Officer is responsible for reviewing high-risk client onboarding, conducting AML investigations and monitoring compliance matters. The employee also supports the implementation and monitoring of compliance measures and works with key stakeholders.

Job description

Tasks

  • Conduct high-risk client onboarding reviews, including detailed assessments of know-your-customer (KYC) and financial crime risks
  • Supporting relationship managers and management in implementing, advising and monitoring compliance matters
  • Carrying out anti-money laundering (AML) investigations if required
  • Review local policies and procedures as required
  • Identification and investigation of serious cases of non-compliance
  • Collaboration with key stakeholders within and outside the Compliance department
  • Embedding a compliance culture among employees to mitigate legal, regulatory, sanction and reputational risks
  • Supporting compliance projects and tracking internal and regulatory audits
  • Provision of training courses and training materials on compliance and AML topics

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably) in law, economics, business administration or a banking-related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in client onboarding, audit or compliance functions
  • Knowledge of the Swiss regulatory environment, in particular AML regulations and customer documentation standards
