Compliance Officer, Regulatory & Policy Management

The Compliance Officer for Regulatory & Policy Management at Julius Baer in Singapore is responsible for monitoring and implementing regulatory requirements and maintaining good relations with regulatory authorities. Tasks

The position of Compliance Officer, Regulatory & Policy Management includes the following tasks:
  • Supporting the Head of Regulatory Compliance in establishing and maintaining regulatory relationships with local regulatory authorities
  • Communication with regulatory authorities, internal and external auditors, and coordination of regulatory inquiries and audits
  • Supporting regulatory risk management and franchise preservation by advising business units and infrastructure departments on compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies in Singapore
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders such as management and other support groups
  • Supporting the Policy Desk and advising on policy and procedure issues in the banking sector
  • Monitoring, assessing, and advising on the impact of new or revised regulations in Singapore and working closely with the business to ensure compliance
  • Maintaining the matrix for regulatory obligations in Singapore and coordinating with various departments to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements

  • Good knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment
  • Experience in interacting with the MAS and other regulatory authorities is desirable.
  • Knowledge of business processes, standards, guidelines, and procedures in a financial or banking environment
