Duties & Responsibilities

• Compliance with applicable BJBE standards, processes, and controls in accordance with the regulatory framework and supervisory and audit requirements
• Maintaining up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of European regulations relevant to BJBE's practices, as well as internal policies and procedures
• Monitoring regulatory developments and proactively assessing their impact on the bank
• Conducting regulatory gap analyses and thematic reviews
• Gain insights into key areas (e.g., legal, risk management, product management, relationship management) to understand cross-functional interests, the bank’s business, and the role of compliance as the second line of defense
• Effective and professional communication with internal stakeholders across departments, management, and other relevant parties
• Providing practical regulatory compliance advice to the business and senior management
• Participate in projects driven by new regulatory initiatives and contribute to improving existing compliance processes
• Conduct regulatory compliance audits in accordance with the BJBE Regulatory Control Plan, working closely with the business units to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations
• Preparing regular and ad hoc reports for BJBE management and the Compliance Office on compliance activities and findings
• Conducting compliance reviews and audits related to BJBE's regulatory obligations
• Conducting periodic and thematic assessments, including impact evaluations and gap and remediation analyses, as well as coordinating process changes
• Providing expert advice on regulatory issues for the business and the bank in the area of day-to-day operational services and regulatory reform initiatives

Requirements

• Agility in handling complex and sensitive situations with composure; ability to communicate credibly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels, both locally and internationally
• A high degree of discretion, integrity, and sound judgment when dealing with sensitive or high-profile private clients from around the world
