Compliance Risk Officer
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Compliance Risk Officer for its team in Madrid to monitor and support compliance with rules and regulations in the area of private banking. The ideal candidate will have experience in the compliance department of a bank or in the financial sector, particularly in the area of private banking.
Tasks
The Compliance Risk Officer is part of the Compliance Consolidated Supervision (CCS) Competence Center. The responsibilities include:- Preparation of all documents required by internal and external auditors
- Compliance with BJBJE standards, processes, and controls in accordance with the regulatory framework and the requirements of supervisory authorities and auditors
- Ensuring excellent and evolving knowledge of all European regulations applicable to BJBJE, as well as industry best practices and internal policies and procedures
- Insight into relevant departments (e.g., legal, risk management, product management, or relationship management) to learn about the interfaces and understand the bank's business model and the respective responsibilities of compliance ("2nd line of defense")
- Updating on all regulatory changes relevant to regulatory compliance
- Effective and efficient communication with all necessary departments within the bank, with local management, and with all other parties
- Participation in compliance-related projects

The Compliance Risk Officer will also perform the following tasks as part of the compliance program:- Implementation of regulatory compliance controls in accordance with the BJBJE compliance control plan
- Participation in the BJBJE risk assessment and compliance risk assessment
- Conducting thematic reviews
- Preparation of regular and ad hoc reports for BJBJE management and the compliance center regarding the implementation of compliance activities and the corresponding results
- Provision of advice and support to front officers on CCS matters

Your experience
The following experience is expected for this position:- Similar position in a compliance department at a bank or in the financial sector, preferably in private banking
- Experience in private banking and/or at an internationally renowned consulting/auditing firm
- Good understanding of Luxembourg and European law and regulations relevant to private banking
