The SAQ certificate is a mark of quality, attesting that the holder possesses the necessary skills and is familiar with the rules of conduct defined for the role of financial advisor. It is recognized by the Swiss Confederation. Recertification takes place every three years to maintain the level of quality.

Definitions of the relevant occupations

There are several professions involved, including:
  • Credit advisor: He or she maintains a close relationship with clients (businesses or individuals) in order to fully understand their situation and needs, so as to advise them and manage their credit portfolio.
  • Investment advisor: an expert in client relations, a generalist with broad knowledge of the financial sector, specializing in wealth management.
  • Assistants: primarily working in the Credit and Markets divisions, they support advisors with administrative tasks and may be assigned a client portfolio.
