Senior Documentary Affairs Advisor
Banque Cantonale Vaudoise (BCV) is seeking an experienced Documentary Credit Specialist with at least 10 years of experience in processing documentary credit transactions at a bank or trading company. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising clients and managing client portfolios, as well as processing complex documentary credit transactions.

- Import/Export
- Ensuring compliance with rules, procedures, and standards—both internal and external—related to documentary operations (ICC, compliance, economic sanctions, etc.)
- Negotiating with clients and correspondents regarding the terms of a transaction based on an analysis
- Providing advice and information to internal and external clients on all aspects related to the processing of trade finance instruments
- Processing and managing a diverse client portfolio
- Identification of technical risks associated with the processing and execution of documentary transactions
- Handling more complex operations and contributing to problem-solving
- Ensuring the training of assistants and interns during their time on the job
Requirements
- Higher-level education
- At least 10 years of proven experience in the design and implementation of all types of documentary transactions at a recognized banking institution with expertise in commodity trade finance or at a trading company
- Ability to analyze complex procedures, excellent technical mastery of the instruments and applicable guidelines
- A keen sense of customer relations
- Autonomy, accuracy, precision, and team spirit
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in French and English (both spoken and written; knowledge of other languages is a plus) as well as proficiency in standard banking software
