Your role
As a Conversation Designer at the Experience Design Center of Excellence, you will play a central role in shaping the future of human-computer interaction. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing conversational experiences across various conversational user interfaces, including chatbots and voice assistants. Your work will have a direct impact on how users interact with our products and services, ensuring a seamless, natural and enjoyable experience.Tasks
- Develop and refine conversational flows and scripts for chatbots, voice assistants and other conversational interfaces to ensure they are intuitive, engaging and effective
- Conduct user research and gather feedback to understand user needs, preferences and pain points. Use these insights to inform and improve conversation design
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, developers and other stakeholders to align conversation design with overall product goals and user experience strategies
- Writing clear, concise and natural sounding dialog for chat and voice to ensure consistency with brand tone and conversational design best practices
Your expertise
- Experience in the design of conversational interfaces
- Strong understanding of natural language processing
- Ability to create appealing and natural-sounding dialogs
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed design decisions
- Solid understanding of conversation/interaction principles and linguistics (e.g. turn-taking, sequence organization, repair)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and rationale
- Familiarity with LLMs and their practical applications
- Professionalism in design tools such as Sketch or Figma
- Nice to have: Experience with conversational AI
- Nice to have: Experience in UX writing
- Nice to have: Behavioral economics
- Proficiency in two or more national languages
- Degree: Bachelor's degree in design, computer science, linguistics or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
