Core Banking Application, Sr Analyst

Job description

The position of Senior Analyst for Core Banking Applications requires a high level of expertise in computer systems, including comprehensive technical knowledge of all phases of the lifecycle. The Senior Analyst works closely with product vendors and business analysts to ensure the successful planning, development, and implementation of the final solution.

Tasks and responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities include:

• Project work in research, analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and system implementation
• Completing tasks on time to meet operational and performance requirements
• Communicating with business users to gather and verify requirements
• Translation of business requirements into functional and technical requirements, test plans, and training materials
• Formulation and definition of the system scope and objectives; development of methods for solving complex problems, taking into account equipment capabilities and limitations
• Development of detailed program specifications
• Executing test cases, identifying and documenting issues, errors, or other failures
• Support for integrating system tests and proactive assistance for users in running IJAT cycles
• Maintenance of banking applications in production and support in resolving production issues

Requirements

The requirements for this position are:

• Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of experience in project implementation/management
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry, particularly in private banking
• 5+ years of experience with T24 core banking systems
• Knowledge of trade and investment
• Experience with the implementation and support of third-party software packages, as well as troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Knowledge of .NET, Visual Studio, SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Java, and Eclipse
• Experience with application testing, production support, and troubleshooting on various platforms
• Knowledge of web applications, databases, and network protocols
• Experience with source code and release management systems such as TFS, SVN, Git, and BitBucket
• Proficiency in modeling and mapping tools such as Visio and Enterprise Architect
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Portuguese or Spanish is desirable
