Core Banking Application, Sr Analyst

Tasks

• Providing a high level of expertise in the field of computer systems, with a thorough technical understanding of all concepts and skills required for the analysis, development, and support of such systems.
• Work closely with product vendors and business analysts to ensure the successful implementation of the project.
• Research, analysis, design, programming, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Finalizing project assignments, defining and reviewing business requirements through formal and informal meetings.
• Development of functional and technical requirements, test plans, and training materials.
• Developing methods for solving complex problems while taking into account the scope and scale of the requirements, and providing estimates for the team, the sponsor, other stakeholders, and the IT development team.
• Creating detailed, thorough designs and developing detailed specifications.
• Executing test cases, finding and documenting defects.
• Hands-on experience in building data structures.
• Participating in integration testing and troubleshooting in a defect-tracking tool.
• Interacting with business users to gather requirements.
• Maintenance of banking applications in production and support for change management procedures.
• Ensuring that the performance and quality of all specifications and customer requirements meet established company standards.
• Provision of best practices, modern AML policies, and procedures.
• Compliance with security laws, bank secrecy laws, and KYC rules, as well as the bank's BSA/EEP guidelines.
• Preparation of technical documentation in accordance with the programs.
• Proactively support users in carrying out the UAT cycle by documenting production errors.
• Analyze and collaborate with the product vendor to support and carry out the tasks necessary for the timely resolution of production issues.
• Supporting changes by documenting requests and assessing the business impact of changes.
• Participate in internal reviews and collaborate with other system staff members.
• Writing unit and system test suites.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of experience in project implementation.
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
• Knowledge of trade and investment banking.
• Experience in the development and documentation of third-party software products.
• Experience with the T24 system (Temenos).
• Experience in software implementation and support, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Java and Eclipse is a plus.
• Experience with ITMS, Tomcat, and WebSphere AS/web servers, as well as J2EE application troubleshooting and production.
• Knowledge of CGI and web applications (HTTP servers).
• Experience with source configuration control and data warehouse development processes.
• Must have modeling skills and an understanding of the SDLC and application best practices.
• Proven expertise in application development, system testing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a demanding production environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proven success in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects.
• Proven ability to manage operations and deliver results.
• Fluency in English.
• Fluency in Portuguese and/or Spanish is desirable.
