Core Banking Application, Sr Analyst

Job Details

The position of Senior Analyst for Core Banking Applications requires a high level of expertise in computer systems, including comprehensive technical knowledge of all phases of the system lifecycle. The employee performs the tasks necessary for the analysis, development, and support of such systems.

Tasks and responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities include:

• Project work in research, analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and system implementation
• Completing tasks on time to meet operational and performance requirements
• Communicating with business users to gather and verify business requirements
• Translation of business requirements into functional and technical requirements, test plans, and training materials
• Formulation and definition of the system scope and objectives; development of procedures for solving complex problems, taking into account equipment capacities and limitations
• Asking questions to gain a full understanding of the scope and scale of the need and to assess the effort required
• Participate in review meetings with the business sponsor, other stakeholders, and the IT development team
• Preparing project estimates and work plans, tracking progress, and adjusting the approach to meet commitments
• Creation of excellent, comprehensive design and development documentation
• Development of detailed specifications for programs
• Executing test cases, identifying and documenting issues, errors, or other problems
• Participation in system integration testing and proactive support for users in executing the I/JAT cycle
• Communicating with business users to collect and analyze production errors and collaborate with the product vendor on production support and new development
• Maintenance of banking applications in production and support for tasks necessary to resolve production issues in a timely manner
• Supporting the change management process by documenting requests, assessing the business impact of changes, and evaluating their effects on project commitments
• Ensuring that the performance and quality of products meet established company standards, guidelines, specifications, and customer requirements
• Providing best practices and state-of-the-art guidance to internal users and other system staff
• Compliance with all anti-money laundering laws, bank secrecy laws, and KYC rules and regulations, as well as the bank’s BSA/AML policies and procedures

Requirements

The requirements include:

• Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of experience in project implementation/management
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry; experience in private banking is a plus
• 5+ years of experience with T24 core banking systems
• Knowledge of the retail and investment sectors
