Core Banking Application, Sr Analyst

Job Details

The position of Senior Analyst for Core Banking Applications requires a high level of expertise in computer systems, including comprehensive technical knowledge of all phases of the system lifecycle. The employee is responsible for analyzing, developing, and supporting systems. As part of their daily duties, the employee analyzes and identifies the root causes of issues in production environments and resolves them in a timely manner.

Tasks and responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities include:

• Project work in research, analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and system implementation
• Timely completion of project tasks in accordance with operational and performance requirements
• Communicating with business users to gather and verify business requirements
• Translation of business requirements into functional and technical requirements, test plans, and training materials
• Formulation and definition of the system scope and objectives; development of procedures for solving complex problems, taking into account equipment capacities and limitations
• Asking questions to understand the scope and scale of the need and to assess the effort required
• Participate in review meetings with the business sponsor, other stakeholders, and the IT development team
• Preparing project estimates and work plans, tracking progress, and adjusting the approach to meet commitments
• Creation of excellent, comprehensive design and development documentation
• Development of detailed specifications for programs
• Hands-on experience in developing data-driven business applications
• Executing test cases, identifying and documenting problems, errors, or other issues
• Participation in integration system testing and proactive support for users in executing the IJAT cycle
• Communicating with business users to collect and analyze production errors and collaborate with the product vendor
• Maintenance of banking applications in production and support for tasks aimed at resolving production issues in a timely manner
• Supporting the change management process by documenting requests, assessing the business impact of changes, and evaluating their effects on project commitments
• Ensuring that the performance and quality of products meet established company standards, guidelines, specifications, and customer requirements
• Providing best practices and state-of-the-art guidance to internal users and other system staff
• Compliance with all anti-money laundering laws, bank secrecy laws, and KYC rules and regulations, as well as the bank’s BSA/AML policies and procedures

Qualifications

The qualifications include:

• Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of experience in project implementation/management
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry; experience in private banking is a plus
