The Senior Associate (Corporate Actions) is responsible for leading a team and handling requests from global clients in the Corporate Actions area. The position involves executing corporate actions instructions, reviewing client claims and resolving complex issues.

Corporate Actions, Senior Associate

Tasks

  • Act as an Expert of Client service team providing support and control over complex and time critical corporate action events and transactions.
  • Collate and review daily reporting
  • Provide training and coaching to team members
  • Assist managers by prioritizing the workload and ensure daily tasks are completed
  • Ensure effective risk management by coordinating or completing end of day management reporting and ensuring timely escalation and resolution of pertinent issues.
  • Act as a subject matter expert support on projects and initiatives aimed at improving the corporate action product.
  • Provide coverage in the absence of team member or manager.
  • As assigned process and/or resolve complex issues such as, but not limited to analyze and research Corporate actions across the globe
  • Assist and co-ordinate procedural changes to the current process
  • Deliver effective client service

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Corporate Actions environment is a must
  • Understanding of Corporate Action Lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Swift Messaging Standards
  • An excellent understanding of the financial services industry
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Japanese skill is a plus
  • Good knowledge of Custody Banking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package
  • Educated to a degree level (preferred)
  • Experience in supervising a team is an advantage but is not essential.
