Corporate Conferences & Events Technology Specialist

As a Corporate Conferences & Events Technology Specialist at Northern Trust in Chicago, you will serve as an event technology architect with at least seven years of experience, supporting the planning, operation, and technical execution of hybrid conferences and live events. This full-time hybrid position involves responsibility for infrastructure, streaming platforms, and resolving technical challenges during event execution.

Tasks

  • Supporting the team in virtual testing, operations, and production activities as an event technology systems architect.
  • Participate in on-site space operations and event execution activities as needed.
  • Maintaining expertise in networks, infrastructure, hardware, and venue/technology platforms.

Requirements

  • More than 7 years of experience in event technology, conference systems, and support technology, including the development of a solid foundation for hands-on event design work.
  • Experience working with enterprise software, conferences, hybrid events, executive programs, e-learning solutions, equipment, and infrastructure, as well as the ability to handle hardware, software, and business solutions and resolve issues.
  • Ability to evaluate business ideas and translate them into practical technology solutions and support plans.
  • Experience in coordinating projects, as well as in establishing, managing, and supporting resources to meet the highest expectations.
  • Practical experience with conferencing, streaming, and recording platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco, or similar platforms.
  • Professional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple products at the same time.
  • Confident support for live events, production environments, and event escalation solutions, while simultaneously supporting operations, recording, reporting, process improvements, and operational excellence as defined.
