Corporate Governance Specialist

The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Corporate Governance Specialist to support the Executive Office in implementing governance measures and to ensure the compliance and efficiency of governance processes. The ideal candidate has experience in corporate governance, law, compliance, or auditing, and possesses a solid understanding of governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.

About the job

We are seeking a Corporate Governance Specialist to join the Executive Office (EO), which is tasked by the CEO, the Executive Board (ExB), and the Global Wealth Management Committee (GWMC) with overseeing matters of overarching strategic importance to the Group.

Tasks

As a member of the Corporate Secretariat Executive Board team, you will provide comprehensive support and take on the following responsibilities:
  • Support the Corporate Secretariat of the ExB/GWMC in all governance matters to ensure compliant and effective governance of the ExB and GWMC.
  • Coordination of the entire meeting cycle for the ExB/GWMC, including scheduling, agenda preparation, documentation (minutes, resolutions, summaries), and follow-up on action items.
  • Ensuring that all materials meet the highest standards of accuracy, clarity, and compliance with guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Acting on behalf of the Corporate Secretary as needed, exercising sound judgment, discretion, and a thorough understanding of governance frameworks.
  • Taking on various tasks and projects within the team, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and a hands-on approach.

Requirements

For this position, we are seeking a candidate with:
  • A university degree in law, business administration, finance, or a related field; alternatively, a paralegal.
  • Professional experience in corporate governance, company secretariat, legal affairs, compliance, or audit within the financial services industry.
  • A solid understanding of and strong interest in executive governance, regulatory matters, and organizational processes.
  • Fluent English; German is a strong plus.
