**Corporate Tax Officer**

The Corporate Tax Officer will support the Taxable team at HSBC Suisse to ensure non-resident tax compliance, review daily tax matters and prepare tax returns. The employee will report directly to the Head of Tax - Switzerland and will be responsible for various tax related tasks such as Pillar II implementation.

Job description

Tasks

  • Supporting Business, Finance and Procurement with written answers to long-standing questions and projects
  • Answering specific individual questions to support projects
  • Expert advice on VAT issues such as taxes on fees, fund management/distribution fees and monitoring changes in VAT legislation (Switzerland)
  • Interaction with the tax department on direct and indirect tax matters
  • Contact person for TIH to ensure that tax requirements are correctly implemented in systems
  • Use of tax planning tools based on Deloitte's "Orbit tax planning" to prepare accounting entries, validation of tax accounts on Swiss GAAP/financial reports, preparation of tax reports for Group Tax, consolidated accounts under IFRS, including effective tax rate and deferred tax calculation, preparation of tax returns for CA, OIF
  • Approving tax implications of intra-Swiss and cross-border restructurings and business flows, anticipating tax risks and providing guidance on the appropriate source of measures to ensure tax compliance
  • Advice on new Intrastat reporting (DAC6/CbCR)
  • Ensuring that sufficient TP documentation is available for new intra-group agreements/services/transactions and that sufficient TP documentation is maintained
  • Maintaining appropriate documentation, procedures and memoranda on tax laws
  • Managing relationships with external consultants, conducting tenders, agreeing contract terms, tracking invoices

Requirements

  • Completed commercial studies or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience in handling direct and indirect tax matters
  • Good understanding of the private banking business
  • Flexible, curious and collaborative mindset
  • Highly organized and experienced in realizing, implementing and tracking administrative processes
