The Credit Development Officer works closely with various teams to align credit product offerings and processes with credit strategies and policies. The position requires extensive knowledge of credit policies and processes as well as excellent communication skills.

Overview

Credit Development Officer

Location: Singapore

Working hours: Full-time

Tasks

  • Stakeholder Management - represents CRM Asia in forums such as NPA or forums with cross-functional teams such as Front Office and Markets to ensure product offerings/processes are aligned with credit strategies and policies.
  • Reporting and Governance - provides relevant input and represents CRM Asia in bank-wide policy reviews and local policy actions in line with Bank Julius Baer's risk philosophy.
  • Special projects - participates in ad hoc projects.
  • Presentation and Communication - prepares and delivers presentations to stakeholders, including senior management, committees, etc.
  • Education - organizes training for the front office on credit risk topics and systems.

Regulatory responsibilities and OR risk management

  • Ensuring compliance with Julius Baer's risk philosophy and culture.

Requirements

Personal and social skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially in PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, ability to work under pressure and take initiative.
  • Good team player who builds good working relationships within credit, front office and other departments.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage initiatives/projects in a timely manner.

Professional and technical skills

  • University degree with a financial focus or similar qualification.
  • Strong understanding of credit principles, risk management and banking regulations.
  • General knowledge of global financial markets and current events, stays abreast of legal, tax and reputational issues.
