Credit Development Officer
The Credit Development Officer at Julius Baer in Singapore works closely with the front office and the market to align credit products and processes with credit strategies. The role involves stakeholder management, carrying out special projects, and preparing presentations and training sessions on credit risk.
Tasks
- Stakeholder Management—represents CDM Asia in meetings with cross-functional teams such as Front Office and Markets to ensure that product offerings and processes align with credit strategies and policies
- Special Projects - Participates in ad hoc projects
- Presentation and Communication—creates and delivers presentations for stakeholders, including senior management, committees, etc.
- Training — organizes training sessions for the front office and delivery teams on credit risk topics and systems
- Regulatory Responsibilities / OR Risk Management
Requirements
Personnel and social
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly in PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates good judgment; ability to work under pressure and take initiative
- Good team player who builds good working relationships within Credit, Front Office, and other departments
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage initiatives/projects in a timely manner
Professional and technical
- A college degree with a focus on finance or a comparable qualification
- General understanding of credit principles, risk management, and banking regulations
- General knowledge of global financial markets and current events; stays up to date on legal, tax, and regulatory issues
