Credit Officer

LGT is seeking a Credit Officer to analyze, evaluate, and approve complex loan applications and play a key role in the credit business. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a keen understanding of numbers, and experience with credit management tools.

Your area of responsibility

As a Credit Officer, you will play a key role in the lending business. You will analyze, evaluate, and approve complex loan applications from discerning clients.
  • Active involvement in shaping and continuously optimizing credit policies in a dynamic environment
  • Ensuring that all credit decisions are consistent with regulatory requirements and our bank’s risk profile at all times
  • Promoting consistent and professional implementation of new or updated guidelines across all relevant units
  • Technical advisor to credit advisors and other internal teams on complex loan structures and risks, as well as the primary point of contact for loan-related inquiries
  • Close cooperation with internal and external auditors as well as other stakeholders both domestically and internationally
  • Active participation in projects aimed at optimizing credit processes and expanding the credit business—including identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency gains and ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals

Your profile

  • Proficiency in using core banking systems such as Avaloq and other modern credit management tools
  • Strong analytical skills, a keen understanding of numbers, and a thorough grasp of financial data
  • Excellent proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • A strong command of style and the ability to communicate effectively in German and English—both in writing and orally—tailored to the audience
  • Enjoy applying your broad expertise, confidently handling complex cases and new regulatory requirements, and actively sharing your knowledge and driving process improvements as an expert in the field
