CREDIT TRADER
Leonteq is looking for an experienced Credit Trader to trade synthetic credit derivatives, in particular Credit Default Swaps (CDS) and Credit-Linked Notes (CLNs), with a focus on Zurich. The ideal candidate will have experience in trading CDS and CLNs as well as a deep understanding of credit markets.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Credit Trader with a focus on synthetic credit derivatives, in particular Credit Default Swaps (CDS) and Credit-Linked Notes (CLNs). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in trading single and index CDS as well as experience in structuring or trading CLNs. A deep understanding of the credit markets is essential.Tasks
- Execute and manage trading positions in credit derivatives, with a focus on CDS (both single and index CDS)
- Identifying and managing liquidity via CDS markets, maintaining a strong presence with counterparties and clients
- Monitoring and interpretation of macroeconomic indicators, credit events and issuer-specific developments to inform trading decisions
- Work with sales and structuring teams to identify and execute trading opportunities and deliver customized solutions for clients
- Providing real-time market color, pricing and trading ideas for clients and internal stakeholders
- Proactive management of risks and optimization of profit and loss through strategic hedging and portfolio management
- Ensuring that all trading activities comply with internal risk policies and external regulatory requirements
- (Optional): Support bond execution and contribute to bond trading efforts, if required
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in credit trading, with a focus on CDS and other credit derivatives
- Deep understanding of credit markets, including derivative structures and risk frameworks
- Experience with trading systems and platforms such as Bloomberg, Tradeweb or equivalent
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; Excel skills required (VBA and/or Python is a plus)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly convey market insights
- High level of initiative, attention to detail and ability to make quick, sound trading decisions under pressure
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics or a related field
