Job description: CRO Asia Business Management and Sustainability

Tasks

  • People Management:
    • Contribute to strengthening team spirit and fostering a collaborative work environment in CRO Asia (e.g. organizing social events, onboarding new employees, etc.).
    • Attendance and providing guidance/contribution to other team members to improve overall performance.
    • Working closely with HR to find suitable training for the teams in CRO Asia.
    • Support and conduct employee surveys and improvements for colleagues in Asia. Explore opportunities and drive change and action to improve people outcomes.
  • Business Management:
    • Work to fulfill the ambitions and strategies of CRO Asia and the goals set by Group CRO.
    • Prepare monthly or ad-hoc management reports for global, regional and local management committees involving CRO Asia.
    • Assist in the management of finance and human resources for CRO Asia to facilitate cost control/discipline through close adherence to instructions from CRO Asia and Global CRO BM.
    • Work on the annual financial budget.
    • Pursuing cross-divisional projects/initiatives with respective stakeholders to enable timely completion.
    • Implementation/support of ad hoc initiatives.
  • Sustainability:
    • Work closely with the Head of Sustainability and the Sustainability team to facilitate the introduction of Group-wide initiatives and practices in Asia.
    • First point of contact for sustainability issues in Asia.
    • Promote cooperative working relationships and information sharing across functions and with employees in Asia.
    • Create awareness of sustainability in Asia, e.g. training and commitment of employees to sustainability at Julius Baer.
    • Support in the application of ESG reputational risk guidelines in Asia, including ESG risk assessments of client relationships.
    • Development of work processes, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with sustainability regulations and standards.
    • Identify and track changes in regulations and analyze how the integration of sustainability compliance regulations and frameworks impacts the company's existing policies.
    • Support and communicate changes to ensure that all business units operate in accordance with new/current sustainability regulations and frameworks.
    • Management of the sustainability-related regulatory library for Asia.
    • Coordinate themed, sustainability-related customer events to raise awareness and facilitate conversations for like-minded customers.
    • Support in providing Asia's data for the preparation of climate stress tests and sustainability reports.
