Cross-Border Business Expert

Bank J. Safra Sarasin is seeking a Cross-Border Business Expert to support and enhance the bank’s cross-border business. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in cross-border regulation and strong analytical and communication skills.

Your role

As a Cross-Border Business Expert at the bank, you are an ambitious self-starter who is committed to enhancing the bank’s cross-border expertise. You are responsible for maintaining and improving the cross-border framework and providing hands-on guidance and support to the front-office units and other internal stakeholders at the bank.

Your Responsibilities

  • Providing guidance and advice to the bank's front-office units and other internal stakeholders on cross-border compliance and day-to-day business matters
  • Conducting regular cross-border market analyses and preparing analyses, evaluations, and reports for senior management
  • Providing expert support for the development and ongoing improvement of cross-border country guides; preparing and conducting training sessions for the Bank's front-line units
  • Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and informing front-line units and other internal stakeholders of relevant updates
  • Further development of the Bank’s cross-border framework and identification of areas for improvement; regular updates to policies, procedures, processes, and controls
  • Served as a senior cross-border specialist supporting business projects and initiatives
  • Support in implementing the bank's cross-border principles and standards in additional units in Switzerland and at international locations
  • Support for internal and external audit requests related to cross-border matters

Your profile

  • A college degree in business administration or law, or a completed apprenticeship or similar banking training
  • 3–5 years of practical experience in the field of cross-border regulation
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to take on responsibility and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Hands-on approach
  • Fluent English; fluent German and/or French is an advantage
