Cross-Border Business Expert

Bank J. Safra Sarasin is seeking a Cross-Border Business Expert to support and enhance the bank's cross-border business. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing analyses, reports, and guidelines, as well as for training employees and monitoring legal and regulatory developments.

Your role

As a Cross-Border Business Expert at the bank, you are an ambitious independent thinker who is committed to enhancing the bank’s cross-border expertise. You are responsible for maintaining and improving the cross-border framework and providing hands-on guidance and support to front-office units and other internal stakeholders.

Your tasks

  • Provide guidance and advice to front-office units and other internal stakeholders on cross-border compliance matters and day-to-day business issues
  • Conduct regular cross-border market analyses and prepare analyses, evaluations, and reports for senior management
  • Provide expert support for the development and ongoing improvement of cross-border country guides; develop and conduct training sessions for front-line units
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and keep front-line units and other internal stakeholders informed of relevant updates
  • Further develop the bank's cross-border framework and identify areas for improvement; conduct regular updates to policies, procedures, processes, and controls
  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert for cross-border operations and support related business projects and initiatives
  • Support the implementation of the Bank's cross-border principles and standards in additional units in Switzerland and at international locations
  • Support internal and external audit requests related to cross-border matters

Your profile

  • A college degree in business administration or law, or a completed apprenticeship or similar banking training
  • 3–5 years of practical experience in the field of cross-border regulation
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to take on responsibility and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Hands-on approach
  • Fluent English; fluency in German and/or French is a plus
