Cross-Border Business Expert

As a Cross-Border Business Expert at Bank J. Safra Sarasin in Zurich, you will optimize the cross-border compliance framework and advise front-office units on regulatory issues. The position requires five years of experience in cross-border regulation as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

Your Role

  • As a Cross-Border Business Expert at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you are an ambitious individual who is seeking to enhance the Bank’s cross-border capabilities.
  • You are responsible for maintaining and improving the cross-border framework, and for providing hands-on guidance and support to the Bank’s front-line units and other internal stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and advice to the Bank’s front-office units and other internal stakeholders on cross-border compliance matters and issues related to day-to-day business
  • Conduct regular cross-border market reviews and prepare analyses, assessments, and reports for management
  • Provide expert support for the production and ongoing improvement of cross-border country manuals; prepare and conduct training sessions for the Bank’s front-line units
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and inform front-line units and other internal stakeholders of any relevant updates
  • Further develop the Bank’s cross-border framework and identify areas for improvement; provide regular updates on policies, procedures, processes, and controls
  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert to provide cross-border support for relevant business projects and initiatives
  • Support the implementation of the Bank’s cross-border principles and standards at other entities in Switzerland and international locations
  • Support internal and external audit requests related to cross-border matters

Your Profile

  • A university degree in Business Administration, or a comparable apprenticeship, or similar banking education
  • 5 years of practical experience in the field of cross-border regulation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A strong willingness to take responsibility and the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • An innovative and hands-on approach
  • Fluency in English; fluency in German and/or French is a strong asset
