**Cyber Security Engineer**

Your role

We are looking for an individual who wants to take an active role in our global UBS Cyber Defense environment. Are you fascinated by advanced analytics that utilize the latest big data and artificial intelligence technologies? Are you innovative, analytical and deeply motivated by the exciting and growing world of cyber security?

• Development and improvement of advanced cyber detections on a big data platform
• Management and development of analyses on multi-terabyte cyber data lakes using big data technologies
• Preparation and extraction of information from terabytes of security events processed by statistical detection models
• Design and implementation of complex workflows/pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources
• Perform multi-terabyte global acquisition of forensic data and detection of unknown malware missed by other security products
• Work with the wider TISO team to apply big data techniques to in-house available vendor technologies

Your expertise

• 3-5 years experience in a role as
• Background in data engineering, data science or software engineering
• Master's degree in a quantitative, scientific or related field
• Programming skills in Python, practical experience with distributed computing (e.g. Spark) and NoSQL databases; knowledge of SQL and relational databases; Linux scripting; threat hunting tools
• Proven experience in identifying, analyzing and mitigating threats
• Familiarity with the Exabeam platform
• Fluent in English with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
