Data Analytics Engineer
St.Galler Kantonalbank is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer (80–100%) for its Data and Analytics department to solve complex problems and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field and possesses in-depth knowledge of data management and data modeling, as well as strong analytical skills.

- You are responsible for monitoring data quality and traceability (data governance)
- Using your technical and analytical skills in ad hoc data analysis, you will further enhance an internal dashboard
- You will help integrate additional data sources on a daily basis
- By working closely with our data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders, you will meet their needs and develop efficient solutions
Requirements
- A successfully completed degree (university/ETH, HSL, HF) in data engineering, computer science, (bio)informatics, mathematics, or a comparable qualification
- You have a solid understanding of applied data management and data modeling using SQL and Python, and are able to version your own code in Git
- You have already been introduced to various training options and technical tools for refining data and insights
- You have strong analytical and conceptual skills and an excellent eye for quality
- You have a general understanding of statistics, machine learning concepts, and AI in general
- As an empathetic, respectful, and independent person, you bring openness and a willingness to take on new challenges
- You are able to work independently and bring a healthy dose of tenacity and perseverance to the job
