Data and Reporting Analyst

The Data and Reporting Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and updating company databases, performing data analysis and creating reports for portfolio managers and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have skills in data visualization, coding and engineering.

Job description: Data and Reporting Analyst

Tasks

  • Updating the company databases when new information is received
  • Ensure data is properly cleansed and errors and failures are resolved when executing requests for data analysis and reporting on hedge fund and/or discretionary portfolios with KIPs
  • Collaboration with the quantitative analyst to systematically expand automated analyses
  • Work with portfolio managers and/or discretionary portfolio managers to create and enhance reports to portfolio management, investment committee, sales, trading partners and potential investors

Specific tasks

  • Configuring, uploading, maintaining, cleaning and updating data
  • Reconciliation of all EODS databases via various investment platforms; EODS; Bloomberg
  • Manage data sets on a daily basis to monitor data discrepancies and ensure data accuracy
  • Assist in the creation and enhancement of monthly and quarterly reports produced by the fund to ensure data is accurate
  • Configure and upload portfolio/deal data to external valuation experts and ensure data is accurate and representative of the portfolio

Requirements

  • Degree in a STEM subject with at least a first class or upper second qualification (or equivalent)
  • At least 2+ years of experience in a data analyst/visualization role
  • Familiarity with investment solutions in Python, VBA, SQL (or equivalent), Jupyter and GitHub in daily use
  • Strong numerical, analytical and presentation skills and the ability to deal confidently with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to think and communicate clearly, precisely and in a target group-oriented manner
