Data and Reporting Analyst

The Data and Reporting Analyst will be responsible for updating company databases, data analysis and visualization, and collaborating with various teams to provide data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will have engineering, data visualization and coding skills.

Job description: Data and Reporting Analyst

Tasks

  • Updating company databases when new information is received and processing/analyzing data
  • Ensuring that data is correct and free of errors and duplicates
  • Writing code to improve analysis and technical data
  • Collaboration with quantitative analysts to expand automated analytics
  • Collaboration with different business units and teams to better understand their systemic requirements
  • Collaboration with asset managers, distribution partners, investment managers and portfolio managers to provide data-driven insights
  • Collaborate with the tech and data analytics teams in London to ensure the team's business information is accurate and available at all times

Specific responsibilities

  • Configuring, updating, maintaining, cleaning and uploading data tapes and credit events to the SLS database
  • Management of level 2 data sets, daily assurance of data consistency and accuracy
  • Updating, generating and expanding monthly and quarterly reports generated by the fund
  • Configure and upload portfolio/level data to an external valuation agent
  • Contact for data access from CPM/portfolio management

Requirements

  • Degree in a STEM subject with at least a 2:1 grade or higher (or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a data analysis or quantitative role
  • Computer literate with intermediate skills in Python, VS Code (or equivalent) and Jupyter
  • Proficient in the daily use of the required tools
  • Essential: Knowledge of organization and presentation skills as well as the ability to deal with multiple stakeholders
  • Desirable: Experience as a data analyst with a clear, concise and 'smart' approach
