Data and Reporting Analyst

The Data and Reporting Analyst is responsible for maintaining and analyzing company data to create accurate reports and ensure data integrity. The ideal candidate will have skills in data visualization, coding and engineering.

Purpose of the role

The candidate's main responsibilities include:

  • Updating company databases as new information is received to ensure that data is properly cleansed and any errors or failures in the systems are corrected to ensure data integrity.
  • Performing data analysis and reporting on data in accordance with KIPs.
  • Collaboration with the team's quantitative analysts to systematically expand automated analyses.
  • Work with portfolio management and trading to respond to ad hoc requests from KIPs, distributors and potential investors.

Specific responsibilities

  • Confirmation, updating, maintenance and cleansing of data.
  • Managing and maintaining records to ensure the integrity of E&ID, timely data management of data discrepancies and ensuring the accuracy of data.
  • Assisting in the creation and enhancement of monthly and quarterly reports produced by the fund, ensuring data accuracy via reporting tasks and independent review of reporting metrics and charting through Python.
  • Confirm and update portfolio/deal data to external valuation agents and ensure that the data is accurate and reflective of the portfolio.
  • Verification and confirmation of data for data extractions from CRM/portfolio management.

Technical skills

  • Degree in a STEM subject with at least a first or upper 2nd class honors (or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years of experience in a data analyst/visualization role.
  • Familiarity with financial markets within 1st or 2nd line (or equivalent) GICS, Jupiter and/or DILS.
  • Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to deal confidently with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to think and communicate intelligently, concisely and in a 'message-appearance', with a prudent and thorough approach to understanding and accomplishing tasks.
