Data & Business Analyst

Job description

The Data & Business Analyst supports the Change Team in carrying out day-to-day operations, operational changes, reporting, and process improvements at the Guernsey branch. The role focuses primarily on coordinating and executing the Change Team’s daily activities, including supporting new change initiatives, data analysis, process mapping, testing, preparing management reports, providing stakeholder support, and contributing to analysis.

Tasks

• Supporting the change team in implementing BAU activities, operational changes, tactical improvements, and strategic projects.
• Monitor, manage, triage, and track incoming requests to the change team in order to prioritize work, maintain visibility into open items, and ensure that requests are handled appropriately.
• Creation, maintenance, optimization, and planning of recurring and ad hoc reports for business units, management committees, and other stakeholders.
• Support for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, reconciliation, and analysis to ensure that the results are complete, accurate, consistent, and appropriate.
• Collaborate with business units, process owners, and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs, operational challenges, and areas where data, analytics, technology, or other contributions from the change team can help drive better decisions, improved controls, or more efficient business outcomes.

Requirements

• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A keen eye for detail, coupled with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and meeting deadlines.
• High school diploma, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as business administration, finance, mathematics, data analysis, technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in data analysis, reporting, business analysis, process improvement, automation, or operational changes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to work accurately with structured data.
