Data & Business Analyst

The Data & Business Analyst supports the Change Team in implementing ongoing initiatives, operational changes, reporting, and process improvements within the Guernsey branch. The role involves coordinating and delivering day-to-day activities, including data analysis, process mapping, and report generation for various stakeholders.

About the job

The Data & Business Analyst position supports the Change Team in carrying out day-to-day operations, implementing operational changes, preparing reports, and improving processes at the Guernsey branch. The role focuses primarily on coordinating and carrying out the Change Team’s daily activities.

Your challenge

The challenge includes:
  • Supporting the Change Team in carrying out BAU activities, operational changes, tactical improvements, and strategic projects.
  • Monitoring, managing, triaging, and tracking incoming requests to the Change Team.
  • Creation, maintenance, optimization, and planning of recurring and ad hoc reports for business units, management committees, and other stakeholders.
  • Support for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, reconciliation, and analysis.
  • Work with business units, process owners, and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs, operational issues, and areas where data, analytics, technology, or other inputs from the change team could support better decision-making, improved controls, or more efficient business outcomes.

Change Delivery, Process Improvement, and Governance Support

The challenge includes:
  • Support with requirements gathering, documentation, and validation.
  • Support with process mapping and analysis of the current state.
  • Contribute to identifying and evaluating opportunities to streamline, automate, or improve manual, paper-based, or inefficient processes.
  • Contribute to the design, development, testing, documentation, and implementation of reports, dashboards, automations, workflow improvements, and other tactical solutions.

Your profile

The profile includes:

Personal and social

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A keen eye for detail, coupled with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and meeting deadlines.

Professional and technical

  • High school diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as business administration, finance, mathematics, data analysis, technology, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable interest or experience in data analysis, reporting, business analysis, process improvement, automation, or operational changes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to work accurately with structured data.
  • Knowledge of tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI or Tableau, Power Automate, SharePoint, Power Apps or Flowable, VBA, or similar technologies.
  • The ability to document requirements, processes, procedures, tests, problems, decisions, and actions clearly and consistently.
