EFG International is seeking a Data Engineer with experience in ETL/ELT pipelines and ESB integrations to develop and maintain data pipelines and integrations. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in data engineering and data integration, particularly with Qlik, Talend, ETL, and ESB.
Tasks
- Design, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines (batch and near real-time) using Qlik, Talend, and related integration components. - Develop and operate ESB-style integrations between core banking systems, data platforms, and downstream applications to ensure robustness, scalability, and reliability. - Assume operational responsibility for Talend (change management, data quality management, SLA monitoring, SOPs, and runbooks). - Monitor and ensure the smooth operation of critical data pipelines, including incident analysis, root cause identification, and the implementation of preventive measures. - Apply CIGCD practices using the existing toolbox to automate and streamline deployments and configuration changes. - Implement controls using the observability framework to ensure service continuity and accuracy. - Create, maintain, and improve documentation and operational procedures for the data integrations under your responsibility. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (application owners, architects, business analysts, data consumers) to design integration patterns and improve governance over data flows. - Contribute to the standardization and industrialization of integration patterns to promote convergence, normalization, and reusability across projects. - Stay up to date with advances in data engineering, ETL/ESB technologies, and cloud-based integration platforms to support the continuous improvement of our DataOps capabilities.Requirements
- At least 5 years of practical experience in data engineering and data integration, with a strong focus on ETL/ELT pipelines and ESB-style integrations.
