Data Engineer

Man Group is looking for a Data Engineer to participate in the development and implementation of the enterprise data platform. The ideal candidate will have experience with SQL Server, ETL and .NET as well as strong analytical skills.

Overview

Tasks

  • Contribute to the delivery of the infrastructure to support our Enterprise Engineering Data Platform
  • Support ongoing and new data center projects in line with our strategic vision
  • Collaboration with Operations, Risk Management, Finance and other business units associated with the investment regions

Requirements

Essential

  • At least 3-5 years experience as SQL Server/ETL developer
  • Development experience with .NET and familiarity with various technologies and integration techniques
  • Strong SQL skills: Coding stored procedures, functions, scripts with SQL Server
  • Performance optimization of queries/hints/statistics
  • Experience with MS SQL, ETL, data development
  • Ability to understand complex business requirements and break them down into manageable pieces
  • Exposure to data modeling
  • Familiarity with agile methods and code reviews/continuous integration

Desired

  • Experience with control version tools, e.g. git/github
  • Practical knowledge of programming languages such as Python and C#
  • Nice to have: Exposure to Power BI & Tableau reporting tools
