Data Governance Solution Lead, VP
The Data Governance Solution Lead supports the implementation of the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform by developing functional requirements for the data governance system and collaborating with various stakeholders. The focus is on developing requirements, communicating with development teams, and ensuring effective platform usage.
Job description
Tasks
- Elaborate data governance policy requirements into functional requirements to guide data governance platform implementation
- Researching and defining best practices and industry best-known key standards to create a roadmap to identify requirements for enterprise data governance, workflows, and KPIs metrics supporting business needs
- Ensure that requirements are clearly communicated to development teams (e.g., system use cases or user stories requirements documentation).
- Collaborate with business unit data governance leads and data governance platform IT teams to ensure mutual understanding of data governance platform requirements
- Present and demonstrate State Street's data governance platform capabilities
- Providing training and support to users to enable effective adoption of the platform; new or updated features being implemented
- Assisting in investigating and resolving functional issues with the data governance platform reported by system users
- Become a product and platform SME on State Street’s Collibra Data Catalog platform
Requirements
We are looking for
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, absorb, and analyze information quickly and independently
- Good working knowledge of data governance, cataloging, quality, and lineage processes and tools desired
- Experience with defining and managing requirements for system implementation/enhancements
- Excellent communication skills. Can summarize succinctly and can plan and present to senior leaders when needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders across different levels of an organization. Capable of working in a high-performance environment
- Strong individual contributor with high motivation, the ability to take on large priorities and perform tasks with minimal guidance and oversight; influence others
- Ability to develop requirements, form judgments, and make decisions based on existing information
- Flexible and adaptable to changes/challenges/role requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Salary
- $110,000 - $188,750 per year
