Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) Specialist (Full-Time)
The Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing measures to prevent data leaks at Julius Baer and works closely with various teams and stakeholders to ensure an effective global DLP framework. The role involves analyzing DLP alerts, communicating with employees, and continuously improving DLP processes.
Tasks
As a Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) Specialist, you will work closely with DLP teams and stakeholders across various locations to ensure a consistent and effective global DLP framework that protects both our customers and the organization. Your responsibilities will include:- DLP Incident Triage and Communication: Analyzing, triaging, and classifying DLP alerts to identify potential data breaches. Communicating directly with employees to explain the context of incidents, guide corrective actions, and promote secure data handling practices throughout the organization.
- Operational Excellence and Process Improvements: Continuous improvement of DLP processes, playbooks, and workflows. Analysis of insights gained from incidents, stakeholder interactions, and operational bottlenecks to streamline activities and strengthen the bank’s data protection posture.
- Data Analysis, Insights, and Reporting: Analyzing DLP event data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that indicate new risks. Translating analytical insights into meaningful reports and contributing to the development of KPIs/KRIs for a wide range of stakeholders.
- Policy Enforcement and Controls: Ensure the consistent application of DLP policies, guidelines, and control frameworks across business units and regions. Provide policy interpretations and support for fine-tuning policy sets to reduce false positives while ensuring strong protection.
- Global Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with DLP functions and teams at the bank’s international locations to ensure alignment of processes, controls, and incident response practices. Collaborate globally with stakeholders, contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives, and support cross-functional learning to strengthen secure data processing practices.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently, particularly when explaining incidents to non-technical stakeholders, guiding them through corrective actions, and promoting safe behavior.
- Experience in the areas of information security, risk management, compliance, data protection, or auditing, ideally in the financial industry, with experience in regulatory requirements related to information security and/or data protection.
- A structured, proactive, and detail-oriented approach to work, capable of handling operational workloads while contributing to process enhancement and continuous improvement.
- Experience working in international environments, collaborating with globally distributed teams, and adapting to different business requirements and regulatory landscapes.
- Relevant academic background in information security, computer science, business administration, or a related field. Industry certifications are a plus.
- Fluency in German, French, and/or Italian is a plus, as it facilitates effective communication at the bank’s key locations and supports collaboration with stakeholders across multiple regions.
