Data Management, Analyst
The position of Data Management Analyst at Preqin, part of BlackRock, involves responsibility for data management and quality assurance in the area of alternative assets. The analyst will focus on the processing and quality assurance of public data and will work with a global team of data management specialists.
Job Overview
The Data Management department is responsible for ensuring that Preqin's coverage of the alternative asset industry is accurate, up-to-date, and comprehensive. As an analyst, your primary focus will be on data processing and quality assurance of public data. You will report to the Data Management Lead and work closely with a global team of data management specialists to research, analyze, and curate public data that is delivered to Preqin's clients.Role Responsibilities
* Acquiring, updating, and maintaining high-quality alternative data using various internal tools and software * Conducting comprehensive web-based research to collect data related to companies, funds, and transaction activity in the alternative assets space * Updating Preqin's databases with financial information, statistics, and analysis that our clients rely on * Working on complex data projects related to data quality, process redesign, and workflow optimization * Developing expertise to enhance our data offerings for clients * Collaborating with stakeholders from various business areas to further develop our data product offeringsWhat are we looking for
* You have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or engineering * You have 6 months of relevant experience * You have a strong interest in finance and knowledge of financial markets * You are fluent in English and have excellent writing and communication skills * You have experience with Microsoft tools such as Excel, SharePoint, Office 365, Power BI * An interest in and understanding of the alternative assets industryOur benefits
