BlackRock is seeking a team member for the "Aladdin Data" team in Mexico City to provide operational support in data management and troubleshooting for investment management. The ideal candidate is passionate about data and has experience in data management, ideally with knowledge of SQL, R, or Python.
Job Description
BlackRock is seeking a high-performing individual with a passion for data to provide operational support for various data sets, including reference and market data, risk analytics, index data, and client reports.Tasks
* Provides high-quality client service both externally and internally * Solves problems, resolves issues, and minimizes risks for clients and internal BlackRock partners * Monitors and optimizes data performance to meet established service level agreements (SLAs) * Gains extensive experience in equities, bonds, derivatives, and alternatives in the global investment market * Investigates and resolves complex issues and performs ad hoc analyses of large data sets to meet tight deadlines * Collaborates with business analysts and developers to enhance the Aladdin product, increase efficiency and scalability, improve data quality, reduce operational risk, and adapt to changing marketsRequirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in business-related fields such as finance, accounting, or economics, as well as in technical fields such as computer science, information systems, or engineering
- 0–3 years of experience in data operations, including data monitoring and client support
- Basic knowledge of SQL, R, or Python is a plus; a desire to expand your technical expertise
- A basic understanding of fixed-income securities, stocks, and derivatives is desirable
- "Student of the Markets" mindset: intellectually curious with a passion for learning about global financial markets and the investment management industry
- Experience in investment management is a plus
- Natural team players who can thrive in an innovative, ambitious, and fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with agile critical thinking and a growth mindset
- Experience in project management and familiarity with Agile methodologies are a plus
