Data Platform Lead
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Data Platform Manager to oversee the technical management and lifecycle of a global data platform and ensure that it meets business needs and architectural standards. The successful candidate will be part of an agile team and will lead the technical direction, development, and operation of the platform.
Tasks
As Data Platform Lead, you will be responsible for the technical leadership and lifecycle management of a global data platform (data lakehouse). This includes:- Technical leadership and lifecycle management of the data platform
- Support with technical decisions and solution design
- Management of the platform's technical development and operations
- Contribution to the platform's technical roadmap
- Planning and Coordination of Application Releases
- Monitoring of platform infrastructure and data development activities
- Provision of third-level support and management of support operations for third-party applications
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:- At least 8 years of experience with data platforms, data lakes, or data lakehouses (Kubernetes, Kafka, distributed storage systems such as S3/HDFS)
- Several years of experience in a similar position in the financial industry
- Experience in leading the technical direction of data platforms and managing the entire platform lifecycle
- Excellent understanding of data technology and its operational management
- A very high degree of self-motivation to take the initiative and drive change
