Data Platform Lead
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Data Platform Manager to provide technical leadership and oversee the lifecycle of a global data platform (Data Lake House), ensuring that it meets business requirements, architectural standards, and operational resilience. The successful candidate will join an agile team and assume technical leadership and responsibility for the platform.
Tasks
As Data Platform Manager, you will be responsible for the technical leadership and lifecycle management of a global data platform (Data Lake House). Your responsibilities include:- Technical leadership and lifecycle management of the data platform
- Supporting product owners, platform owners, system architects, and IT service owners in making technical decisions
- Oversight of solution designs and security concepts
- Planning and Coordination of Application Releases
- Monitoring of platform infrastructure and data development activities
- Providing third-level support and managing vendor relationships for third-party applications
Requirements
The following requirements apply to this position:- At least 8 years of experience with data platforms, data lakes, or data lakehouses (Kubernetes, Kafka, distributed storage systems such as S3/HDFS)
- Several years of experience in a similar position in the financial industry
- Experience in the technical management of data platforms and the administration of the entire platform lifecycle
- A very high degree of self-motivation to take the initiative and drive change
