Data Platform Lead
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Data Platform Manager to oversee the technical leadership and lifecycle management of a global data platform and ensure that it meets business requirements and architectural standards. The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of experience in managing data platforms and data lakes, as well as experience in the financial industry.
Tasks
As Data Platform Manager, you will be responsible for the technical leadership and lifecycle management of a global data platform (Data Lake House). Your responsibilities include:- Technical leadership and lifecycle management of the data platform
- Supporting product owners, platform owners, system architects, and IT service owners in making technical decisions
- Oversight of solution designs and security concepts
- Planning and Coordination of Application Releases
- Monitoring of platform infrastructure and data development activities
- Provision of third-level support and master data custodian
- Management of supplier relationships for third-party applications
Requirements
The following requirements apply to this position:- At least 8 years of experience with data platforms, data lakes, or data lakehouses (Kubernetes, Kafka, distributed storage such as S3/HDFS)
- Several years of experience in a similar position in the financial industry
- Experience in the technical management of data platforms and the administration of the entire platform lifecycle
- A strong drive to take the initiative and bring about change
