Data Scientist
The Swiss National Bank is looking for a Data Scientist (60%-80%) for the analysis of cashless payment systems, in particular for the design of the SIC system. The new employee will manage large data collections, further develop data-based reporting and manage projects at the interface between business and IT.
Job description
Your contribution:
- Evaluation and maintenance of large data collections on cashless payment transactions;
- Further development of data-supported reporting and the analysis infrastructure;
- Management of projects at the interface between business and IT;
- Development of applications for analyzing high-dimensional payment transaction data;
- Active participation in the implementation of the bank-wide data science strategy.
Your knowledge and experience:
- Master's degree or doctorate in a quantitative subject area;
- Professional experience in analyzing large data sets using data science methods;
- Proven knowledge of database management, scripting languages (R, Python), analysis infrastructure such as Cloudera or Posit, data visualization;
- Experience in project management, ideally in the field of data science;
- Great interest in non-banking topics and cashless payment transactions;
- High social competence, confident performance, willingness to change and strong cooperation and teamwork skills;
- Confident communication in German or French as well as in English.
