Data Sourcing & Strategy Analyst

The role

We are seeking an analyst to join the Data Sourcing and Strategy team on a 12-month contract, who will be responsible for sourcing, data acquisition, and commercial pricing to positively impact the investment business's bottom line. The role involves assisting with data management, data sourcing, contract negotiations, and cost savings across the business. The successful candidate must think creatively, build a strong working environment with demanding deadlines, and deliver exceptional results under pressure. They will be expected to work closely with the CISO and technology teams, including overall stakeholder management, such as suppliers, service providers, and data managers, up to CIO and COO levels. The role requires a high degree of autonomy, and the incumbent will be expected to conduct negotiations, structure contracts, and work with the world's leading investment managers.

Tasks

- Full lifecycle management of data discoveries by identifying needs and opportunities, reviewing new data sources, and managing supplier relationships - Expanding the range of available data and building strong relationships with our investment teams - Managing data and supplier costs to ensure alignment with the corporate data strategy and with researchers, portfolio managers, compliance, and legal - Negotiating and agreeing commercial terms and conditions for Man - Assisting in reducing the cost base by continuously identifying cost savings opportunities - Ongoing management of data contracts and supplier relationships, including support for external data audits, usage reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance - Supporting the business with data license inquiries and providing appropriate commercial recommendations - Creating and managing data reports, metrics, and dashboards

Requirements

- Previous experience in a commercial management/procurement or related role - Interpretation of market data providers - Proven relationship management skills - Experience working with senior stakeholders
