DEPUTY TEAM HEAD, COMPLIANCE COVERAGE, SWITZERLAND

Leonteq AG is seeking a Deputy Team Leader for Compliance in the Capital Markets Products division in Zurich to oversee day-to-day monitoring, regulatory reporting, and collaboration with the trading team.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the deputy to the head of the relevant compliance function, providing support in day-to-day oversight and ensuring that delegated responsibilities are carried out as required.
  • Interact with the Sales & Trading division, evaluate existing and prospective business relationships, conduct reviews, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Provide compliance advice on topics related to how we work. Expertise is valued, ownership is encouraged, and action plans are developed.
  • Conduct compliance reviews and monitoring activities, identify potential risks, and help manage any risks.
  • Prepare and coordinate compliance-related templates, internal memos, and advisory notes for business stakeholders and senior management.
  • Assist the lead in developing and enhancing the firm's compliance framework and quality standards, and in providing guidance and support to the business.
  • Develop an understanding of capital markets and related products (PDEs/LEI, FINO, MiFID, EMIR, FinSA/client complaint handling).
  • Comply with the compliance documentation used under Swiss, FCA, and EU regulatory regimes.
  • Serve as the point of contact for regulatory reporting and regulatory updates.
  • Review and ensure compliance with relevant templates, internal memos, and advisory notes for business management.
  • Prepare compliance assessments, risk analyses, internal memoranda, and advisory notes for business stakeholders and senior management.
  • Collaborate with business teams to ensure they understand and comply with compliance requirements and internal policies.

What You'll Need

  • Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Law/Compliance/Regulatory, or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of capital markets and related products (PDEs/LEI, FINO, MiFID, EMIR, FinSA/CRR regulations).
  • A strong understanding of money markets, fixed income, interest rates, and foreign exchange.
  • Relevant experience in trading, hedging, market risk, and P&L management.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience the value of a structured investment product.

  • Strong Excel skills; experience with treasury/trading systems is a plus.
