As a database engineer, you will be responsible for the stable operation of Oracle and Postgres databases, as well as for automating the platform using Ansible and Terraform. You have experience working in a cloud environment (Azure) and will play an active role in the further development of the database architecture.

What Excites You

  • Together with your team, you are responsible for ensuring the stable, secure, and high-performance operation of our Oracle databases on Exadata.
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the engineering and further expansion of this platform's automation using Ansible.
  • We'd also welcome your help in setting up and maintaining the Postgres environment.
  • You will continuously develop the database environment and contribute your ideas on architectural and operational issues.

What you bring with you

  • You have experience in automation using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • You have experience operating Oracle databases, preferably on Exadata, and knowledge of operating Postgres and SQL Server databases.
  • You have a strong understanding of IT security concepts, with a focus on databases, and knowledge of related best practices.
  • Ideally, you also have experience setting up and managing database environments in the Azure cloud.
  • You have a good command of German and—if possible—English, and you are also willing to work evenings and weekends as well as be on call.
