Deve Securities Broker - Treasury and Financial Markets
Banque Cantonale de Fribourg is seeking a foreign exchange trader for its Treasury and Financial Markets team to advise corporate clients on foreign exchange transactions and manage the bank’s liquidity. The position requires several years of experience in foreign exchange trading as well as excellent proficiency in French, German, and English.
Tasks
- Acceptance, valuation, and settlement of spot and forward transactions in foreign exchange, money market, and precious metals for clients and for the bank
- Establishment of the best execution terms while adhering to the specified limits and responsibilities
- Continuously monitor the foreign exchange market and FX instruments, and share this information with the team and the advisors
- Management and expansion of the bank's customer portfolio
- Proactively offering customized insurance solutions tailored to the needs of each individual customer
- Providing service and support to customer service representatives and market-facing departments
- Management of Foreign Exchange Positions and Market-Related Areas
- Preparation of the bank's proprietary accounts (SNB, SLC, CCP) and participation
- Assisting with operational controls and reports in a collaborative effort
- Availability to serve as an in-house* expert* on treasury projects (further development of tools, processes, and organizational requirements)
- Monitoring of post-trade activities (confirmations, settlement, reporting, controls)
Profile
- Advanced business education (university of applied sciences, Swiss federal vocational certificate or diploma in banking, or equivalent education; additional knowledge gained through training in financial analysis (CFA) and/or securities trading; a REPO-SIX license is a plus)
- Several years of experience in foreign exchange trading, bank treasury, or a related field, with additional experience in the institutional market
- Excellent knowledge of the foreign exchange market and FX instruments (spot, forward, swap, options), as well as financial instruments
- Safe Use of Trading Platforms and the Financial Information System
- Safe Use of the Bank's Internal IT and Office Systems
