Development Lead - Full-Stack Java Engineer 100% (f/m/v)
Julius Bär is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Java Development Lead to provide technical leadership in the transformation of modern payment infrastructure. The role requires expertise in Spring Boot, AWS, microservices, front-end technologies, and DevOps practices.
Tasks
- Technical leadership and collaboration with colleagues working on systems that support the development, production, implementation, and monitoring of the modernized payment infrastructure.
- Responsibility for transforming the Julius Bär landscape in collaboration with product owners, release managers, DevOps, and Agile Scrum Masters.
Requirements
- Expert Java developer with extensive experience in Spring Boot and Spring Security.
- Proven experience working with AWS infrastructure as a developer lead.
- Advanced Java development, microservices, databases, and distributed systems.
- A solid understanding of software development processes and coding standards.
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Extensive knowledge of end-to-end Java services and engineering best practices.
- Experience in defining solution architectures, including Spring Boot, Angular/React, Amazon RDS, AWS ECS/CDK, CloudWatch, and Kafka messaging.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate directly with cross-functional business teams and maintain the quality of deliverables for development projects.
- Experience with JMeter for performance testing.
- Knowledge of microservices, DevOps, and containerization tools.
- Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) and TypeScript/UI fundamentals.
- Experience with MongoDB and relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, MariaDB).
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or similar.
- Knowledge of front-end development, back-end technologies, software design, and release management.
- Working with relational databases.
- Experience in designing solutions using new LLMs, COTS, and back-end systems.
- Experience in developing test-driven applications; understanding of agile, continuous processes.
- Experience with agile work methods and teamwork.
- Basic knowledge of security and infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical skills and a proven drive to deliver results, as well as a customer-focused approach.
- A genuine interest in one's own work and the ability to communicate both independently and effectively with others.
- Work with confidence across time zones.
- Fluent in English.
