DevOps Engineer

Tasks

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• The design, development, and testing of software modules to ensure optimal functionality and integration within complex systems
• Advancing standardization and automation within Julius Baer GPS Technology
• Accelerate the migration of applications to the cloud-native stack
• Drive the onboarding of teams onto shared platforms (observability frameworks, etc.)
• Promoting an engineering culture within your team
• Maintenance of shared platforms within GPS

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Relevant higher education and professional background with at least 5 years of experience
• Extensive experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab, Maven)
• Scripting skills (Bash)
• Ability to work on Linux infrastructure
• Kubernetes deployments and experience with distributed architectures
• Experience with Azure Application Platform, especially AKS
• Development background (Java, .NET, Scala, Python, JavaScript)
• Deep architectural experience and ability to identify non-functional requirements and document system designs
• Strong understanding of communication protocols (RabbitMQ, Kafka, gRPC, WebSockets)
• Programming skills (Python, Java/C++, C#/.NET)
