DevOps Engineer

Man Group is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to build and maintain the automation infrastructure for end-user platforms. The ideal candidate should have experience with automation tools, scripting, and DevOps tools, and be able to explain complex technical concepts.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our End User Engineering team. You will play a key role in building and maintaining automation frameworks that support our end-user infrastructure operations. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies at scale and support our end-user platforms.

Tasks

As a DevOps Engineer, you will: - Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions, configuration management, and monitoring systems - Support business requirements - Collaborate with our entire infrastructure team and other platform teams to drive automation initiatives - Participate in the on-call rotation

Requirements

Required:
  • Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and scripting/programming languages (Python, Go, PowerShell)
  • Experience supporting end-user platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Slack
  • Experience supporting end-user clients such as Windows, macOS, and mobile devices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose complex production issues under pressure
  • Experience with DevOps tools and processes (Prometheus/Grafana, Jenkins, ELK Stack, or similar)
  • Awareness of security best practices and infrastructure architecture planning
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to effectively use AI-powered development tools in your daily workflow

Further advantages

Advantageous:
  • Experience with device management, including Intune and Jamf
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source code workflows (Git, Jenkins, TeamCity)
  • Experience in highly regulated environments (banking, financial services)
  • Knowledge of AI/LLM concepts (content generation, prompt tuning, MCP server)
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to set priorities and effectively manage time across multiple projects
  • A desire to explore and contribute new ideas, combined with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences
