Director, Consultant Relations

Purpose of the role
The purpose of this role is to positively position various Man products in the investment consulting channel. This role is revenue-generating and is part of the management of US and global investment consulting firms.Specific responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining effective, professional relationships with research and field consultants, as well as key stakeholders and influencers at affiliated investment consulting firms and certain financial intermediaries
- Collaborate with consultants and field consultants to identify and describe business opportunities from their clients' perspective, taking into account the overall client sales strategy.
- Generation of ratings and fund approvals through strong research relationships
- Facilitation of ratings and approvals through communication with field advisors, taking into account relevant technical knowledge of key strategies
- Leadership, support, and engagement of executives to gain access to key advisors for strategic discussions
- Deliver effective, professional presentations on the agreed product offering to advisors to support business benefits and provide clear, concise, and effective information.
- Ensuring that consultant feedback and ratings are systematically communicated to key stakeholders within the company and engaging direct employees to create a framework to anticipate market trends and provide executives and investment teams with key insights into investor trends, news, and market dynamics to inform strategy

- Organization and implementation of external and internal events, such as seminars for interested parties, and participation in relevant industry events in accordance with the agreed purpose
- Identifying and conducting research for all contacts to ensure that accurate, up-to-date information about these contacts is stored, and ensuring that all meeting notes are written down in a timely and accurate manner
Key competencies
- 7+ years of experience in the investment management industry, with at least 5 years of experience in investment consulting
- Proven success in securing new strategy approvals and increasing asset inflows
- C or CFA, or a related qualification (IMA, CFA, or MBA strongly preferred)
- Ability to digest complexity and thrive in an intense, fast-paced environment
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Key to winning business and working interdependently and in a team
- Ability to build strong relationships and show initiative
- Professional and technical skills and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain communication and partnership with many key stakeholders
