Director, Consultant Relations

Purpose of the role

The purpose of this role is to positively position various Man products in the investment consulting channel. This role involves managing US and global investment consulting firms.

Specific responsibilities

* Develop and maintain effective, professional relationships with research and field advisors and key stakeholders * Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to identify and deliver business opportunities from potential business developments, taking into account the overall client sales strategy * Generate ratings and fund approvals through strong research relationships * Facilitate ratings and approval processes by communicating with field advisors, taking into account relevant technical knowledge of key strategies * Lead, influence, and engage executives to gain access to key advisors for strategic discussions * Deliver effective, professional presentations on the agreed product offering to advisors to support business needs and provide clear, concise information * Ensure that advisor feedback and ratings are systematically communicated to key internal stakeholders and engage with asset list owners to form a comprehensive view and perspective * Provide leadership and influence to teams with key information on investor trends, news, and market dynamics to inform investment decisions * Organize and implement enhancements to external events such as seminars for prospects and participate in relevant industry events in accordance with the event agenda agreed upon by the teams * Identify and curate thought leadership information for all key advisors and function as a point of contact to ensure accurate, up-to-date information is provided about them to ensure all meeting notes are prepared in a timely and accurate manner

Key competencies

* 7+ years of experience in the investment management industry with at least 5 years of experience in the investment consulting landscape * Proven track record of securing new strategy approvals and increasing asset inflows * Bachelor's degree or equivalent; willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment * CFA, CAIA, or other professional qualifications (MBA, strategy preferred) * Willingness and ability to travel * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Talent for building and maintaining relationships * Proven problem-solving skills and demonstrated initiative * Professional and articulate communication skills * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain communication and partnership with many key stakeholders * Compliant/Regulatory: Successful completion of all qualifications, licenses, tests, and other requirements

US salary range

$160,000 - $175,000
