Director - Head of Operational Risk

Tasks

• Implementation of enterprise risk management procedures for established and emerging businesses, with a focus on protecting and preserving the Barclays brand
• Maintaining a global operational approach that reflects the level of risk assumed
• Identification of weaknesses within an organization and assessment of: 1) vulnerability to the relevant primary risk; 2) the adequacy of existing controls; 3) the potential impact of an actual risk event
• Providing support materials, including market data and collateral, to determine market and counterparty risk. Mitigating downside risks is a key focus of this work
• Enterprise risk management, covering operational, financial, reputational, and other categories, with the ability to demonstrate strategies for analyzing activities to achieve their objectives
• Work across all of the company's investment areas and geographic locations to ensure alignment and collaboration in the development and implementation of management objectives
• Exposure and investment of capital, including company-wide controls, opportunities, and relationship management, as well as the associated effective internal structures
• Implementation of multi-client and co-branding activities to manage a global perspective
